Frequently Asked Questions about Ego3 Filter Sets

Is my old filter larger or smaller than the Ego3 filter?

It doesn't matter. The Ego3 filter filters 20 times as much as a cartridge filter of the same size. Even if your old filter is twice as large, the Ego3 still filters 10 times as much. Most are only a few millimeters or centimeters larger or smaller. Only the connection = the thread (or the shaft in the case of the Set 5 toploader) needs to fit.

Does the Ego3 filter deliver on its promises?

The Ego3 keeps all its promises. It is not an untested new product, but has been used over 80,000 times in a wide variety of hot tubs and Swim Spa - developed by water filter and hot tub experts with decades of experience at the best and largest hot tub manufacturers. We stand behind everything you read on our site and stand by our promises.

How many filter balls are included in the set?

Each set includes 300g of filter balls regardless of the number of containers you have selected. Why don’t you need more for multiple containers? Because the dirt is distributed across several containers and therefore they need to be cleaned less often by that factor. This bag of filter balls lasts just as long, no matter how many filters your hot tub has.

Does the new filter affect my hot tub warranty?

No, of course not, because the Ego3 even extends the lifespan of your pumps through easier flow. If your hot tub dealer claims otherwise, then that is wrong and they just want to sell you the old cartridge filters.

How much does the shipping cost and how long does it take?

We offer worldwide free shipping on orders over €50. This means, for example, all filter balls and Ego3 filter sets are always shipped free of charge.
We ship from Austria, so delivery within Austria and neighboring countries takes only 1-3 days. In other EU countries, it takes 3-5 days. UK, Norway, and Switzerland take about 1 week.
USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand take 2-4 weeks. But starting in autumn, we will also have our own warehouse in the USA.

Am I taking a risk by making the purchase?

No, because we offer a 100-day return policy. Why do we do that? Because we know you will love our product, but you want the security of testing it risk-free.

Is everything I need included in the set?

The set includes everything you need. The selected number of containers, 10 years' worth of filter balls, and instructions.

What can I do if I ordered the wrong one?

Basically, please check when purchasing whether the chosen filter is the correct one to avoid back-and-forth shipping. However, if you accidentally order the wrong one, it’s no problem. Just contact us for the exchange process at welcome@ego3-filter.com.

Can damage occur to the hot tub?

Damage can never occur from the Ego3 filter. It even reduces many potential damages. Pumps last longer, sensors and heaters do not slowly clog due to the unfiltered cartridge filter micro-dirt under 40 microns, and the pipes stay much cleaner due to the high flow rate. This also reduces the need for chemicals, and everything in the hot tub lasts longer.

Für mich stellt sich die Frage wieso die Pool Hersteller so verbissen an den Kartuschen festhalten.

Diese Filter sind einfach super

Diese Filter sind einfach super. Das Wasser wird wirklich absolut glas-klar. Ich hatte zwischendurch auch Probleme mit trüben Wasser. Das lag aber an zu wenig Alka und damit einem falschen PH-Wert. Würde sie mir jederzeit wieder kaufen,

Sind ihr Geld wert!!!

Die Filter funktionieren einwandfrei und sind einfach zu reinigen. Bei regelmäßiger Nutzung des Pools sind die Filterbälle nach maximal vier Wochen voll. Wir sind vollends zufrieden 👍

Gutes Produkt

Die Filterkartuschen passen perfekt in meinen Waterwave-Pool und erfüllen in Verbindung mit den Filterbällen zuverlässig ihren Zweck.

Einziges Manko: Die Nasen an den Deckeln brechen mit der Zeit ab. Die Filter lassen sich zwar weiterhin heraus- und hineindrehen, müssen aber nach einigen Wechseln ersetzt werden.

Insgesamt bin ich dennoch zufrieden mit dem Produkt

Triple AAA service

I ordered four of these filters for my Hot Spring Sovereign. The UK delivery service opened my package for inspection but failed to repackage all filters correctly, resulting in one filter being damaged. I contacted the company anticipating a negative response; however, they responded excellently, immediately dispatching a replacement without any argument.

It is only in situations where issues arise that one truly assesses a company's commitment to their products and customers. In this instance, they demonstrated exceptional service on both fronts.

Regarding the filters, they performed so effectively that I observed a significant amount of accumulated debris at the bottom of the spa, previously unseen with my ceramic filters. I contacted customer service again; their advice and expertise were outstanding. They treated me professionally and individually, with no condescension, and expressed a genuine willingness to assist. Due to the increased efficiency of the filter system, the pressure within my plumbing increased, dislodging dirt that had previously been inaccessible with the old filtration system. After three flush cycles, all debris was expelled, and the spa now appears pristine.

Thank you for your dedication to customer care; I hope you maintain your current standards.

The cap is made of plastic and has a very fragile interlocking mechanism. It broke the first time I tried to close it. Luckily it only broke on one side and is still useable.
The assistance was very quick to send a new cap for free. Maybe I made a wrong maneuver and accidentally broke the cap but anyway I remain of the idea that a different closing system like a screw cap would be preferable, definitely more sturdy.

Grazie Marco, we tried every possible way for the locking system to meet every kind of need of the product. This was the result. Threads don`t work in hot water because due to temperature changes they open themselves. Kind regards Your EGo3 Team
